Steve Balmer made an announcement in his Keynote a short time ago that Windows 7 beta will be available for the mass public to download on Friday January 9th. This new version of windows will be faster and more reliable than vista with even more great features.

The Consumer Electronics Convention is coming up January the 8th through January 11th.  Palm will be announcing there new OS called Nova. Microsoft’s Chief Executive Officer Stave Balmer will be their showing off their new Windows 7 features.

Windows 7 will be called… Windows 7By mhayhurstjr

This is the first time that Windows has used the code name of software to be the actual name. Windows 7 is in fact going to be called Windows 7. Microsoft decided to keep Windows 7 because it is the 7th release of Windows. via engadget
